Paul Andrew Rudd - "Mr Asda"


Recently we shared a post on the I Love SHAW Facebook page from a customer praising Asda, Shaw for their good service.
Following this post we were inundated with praise for Paul Andrew Rudd. He is obviously a VERY popular guy!
So I thought it would be nice to do an article on him, allowing us all to get to know him better.
Thank you Paul for supplying us with the following information.



Paul was born in Salford hospital. He is 33 years old. His birth sign is Libra.
He lives with his Mum and dad Margaret and Graham and he has a sister called Lizzie. She and her partner Lee have a little boy, Paul’s nephew, called Louis Arthur.
As a child he really wanted to be a TV and radio presenter and he studied Media at Oldham College.
He is a very active person. He goes to Zumba at Anna's Dance and is also a dance assistant at Zumba Gold.
He enjoys working out at the gym and has a personal trainer called Damian Guilder.
He hosts a hospital radio show at Oldham hospital with a great team; Scott and Matthew.
He enjoys helping to raise money for local charities.
In the evenings he enjoys going out to one of his favourite Pubs in Shaw , The Morning Star.

“All the staff, Jean, Jenny and Vick are friendly. Definitely worth a visit!”
He started his career in the media at the age of 18. He was a script runner for The BBC North West News. Previously he had done work experience at Granada News, Soap Fever ITV2 Plus and Planet Pop as a presenter. He also worked in local radio All Fm, where he was a Producer showbiz reporter.
He has met and interviewed some famous faces ; including Shobna gulati, Emma Kennedy, Claudia Winkleman, Fiona Phillips and Dianne Oxberry .
He also worked at Littlewoods and the Bulls head pub.
He has worked for Asda for 9 Years. He started at Asda Chadderton before moving to Shaw, where he has had a variety of jobs ... The bread department, the greeter and now Porter which he says he loves doing because he gets to meet different people every day.

He was a guest on Channel 4’s Big breakfast as he and a friend had made a video of themselves presenting their own version of the show in Paul’s back garden. They were interviewed by Johnny Vaughn and Denise Van Outen.
